Tis the Season
Merry Christmas everyone! I haven't blogged in quite a while, because since I've gotten my ipad, I haven't been able to type really fast. Well..guess what...I now have a keyboard for my ipad, thanks to my wonderful husband! He's so good to me. I also got wireless earphones and a silver cross necklace with a diamond in the middle of it. We attended the candle light service with my parents on Saturday, had Christmas with out other family...The Martin's...and the dinner with Mom and Dad. On Christmas Day, I had to work, but luckily our patients decided to stay home, so in return, I got to come home early and spend some time with our Clowdus family. Zac's brother and his family. his sister and her husband and his mother were all here...it was such a blessing to have everyone here for a change. With a dairy, you can't really go anywhere, so it's nice to have a family that will come to you! Addyson is playing with her cousins right now and Zac and Eric have gone back to the dairy for guy time...imagine that. Michelle and I are enjoying some time on the couch. After Addyson's nap and feeding time, we are going to my parent's house for Christmas today! My Pa will be here and I cannot wait to see him. It's been so long since I've seen him! Then it's GIFT TIME....I cannot wait for that...lol! I am still such a little kid when it comes to Christmas. Tomorrow is Mom's birthday, so we are doing something for her and letting the kiddos play. Then...it's more family time! We have Miss Addy Grace ALL WEEK and we are very excited about that! Who knows what kind of trouble we will get in to...lol! Well, I guess I better get back to enjoying some family time. Hope everyone's holiday season is as blessed as our's has been. Happy New Year to you and your families as well!

Snow days...finally.
It's Tuesday and I've been off for the past two days. I worked all weekend and it was none other than, CRAZY! It was a good weekend, but you know...the kind of weekend that you leave your house at 6:10 and do not come back in until literally 8 or 8:30. That's just part of my job...saving lives and coming home late! It was a normal three day work-weekend.
So, last week brought many changes to the dairy out here in the boonies. Last Monday, I was notified that I had a few short notice deatils that needed to be takend care of before returning to work. Instead of thinking things couldn't get any worse, I quickly resorted to...God was telling me I needed some time off...Him and my bff, Millie. I worked half a day on Monday and had Tuesday off. The way that my schedule works, I hadn't worked that weekend before either. (This was my long week coming up.) Monday came the BAD weather. I woke up around 3 am to a "knocking" at the french doors in our bedroom to realize that it was the sleet raining down on us. Knowing Zac like I do, I knew that he was in for a rough couple of day pending the weather announcements. I am pretty sure he got up around 4 or so, because he couldn't sleep and began watching the news...this proceeded to be the trend for the next couple of days...sleepless night and early mornings. Tuesday brought cold, cold weather and lots of ice on the ground. Zac had quite the trouble with all of this. Wednesday was not any better and we began fighting water leaks and frozen animals...yes FROZEN ANIMALS! The mama cows were slipping and sliding all over the place; falling and breaking legs; and babies were frozen. We hadn't been prepared for this, not that we could have been....this is Texas after all! I stayed indoors as much as possible and caught up on all the latest shows. It was cozy, cozy in our house. When I did go outside, I had to bundle up like I hadn't in a LONG time...Zac's coveralls are amazing! Friday was the day I had to go back to work and it had snowed the night before, approximately 3-6 inches in some places. Zac was kind enough to take me in to work that morning and come pick me up that evening. I could have stayed with my parents, but didn't really want to be away from my puppies...and Zac, too! Friday and Saturday was dedicated to me working and Zac fixing water leaks all over the dairy. He was exhausted come Sunday, so while I worked, he earned some much needed "play time" with the boys. It was pretty much a whirlwind, but we got through it and are thankful everyday that that has passed. I LOVE the cold weather and could live with it all the year round, but poor Zac cannot...he does work outside after all!
Today, I booked our reservations for a girl's weekend in Fredericksburg in April. We are staying at a Bed & Breakfast, going to a wine tasting, and probably having massages...a definitely girl's retreat. I am so excited, I can barely contain myself. I just wish that April would hurry up and get here. I am going with Kaley and Brynn...my two childhood best-friends. We have decided to make this a tradition, every year...somewhere new and to always get together, no matter the circumstances. This is sure to bring great happiness in our lives.
Also, Zac got me this GREAT camera for Christmas this year and I have thoroughly enjoyed learning how to operate the little thing. It is truly amazing to me that you can point, click and come out with something so beautiful. As I have said before, it is my hobby for now and I've even come up with a name. Here are some of the pictures I have taken.
This picture has the scipture in it that was read at our wedding.
Well, this is the only picture that I am able to upload for some strange reason right now. I will have to post more later...that, and I'm tired of typing.
This definitely brings our snowy week to an end, but I am afraid that it will be coming back tomorrow and Thursday. Hold everyone stays bundled up.

Lucy has some 'Splainin' to do!
The last couple of days have pretty much been a whirlwind to say the least. We have had Addyson since yesterday and she has been an angel. It is so much fun to hear the constant chatter of her little voice at the house. It somehow seems not so desolate out here in the middle of the Boondocks. I always have a hard time taking her home when it's finally that time.
Well, I am definitely NOT getting Stepmother of the Year Award or anything. I am sitting down at the computer, attempting to figure out how this whole "Blogging World" works. We have already had an issue about not taking a nap today, but considering that we are entertaining ourselves and not a t-total mess, I am okay with no nap today. I am in our bedroom, in front of our computer, when I hear the doggie gate clasp, ever so quietly, in the livingroom. Many times a day do we have to open this back up, when Addyson is here, seeming as though she thinks she's the boss of the puppies and assumes that she can shut them out or wherever she doesn't want them. Thinking that this is not out of the ordinary, I become absorbed back in to the blogging world. (I do have the monitor on people, so please do not think that I am ignoring everything completely!) I then hear the loud voice of my stepdaughter hollaring, "KK...KK...KK!" when it dawns on me that I haven't heard her voice in a few minutes. I quickly get up and go to the back of the house....doggie gate is shut, water and puppy food is all over the hallway, Addyson is NOT in her room, and the pups are looking at like they know they're in trouble. The door in to the laundry room, at the end of the hallway is closed and there is a pile of doggy food leading under the door. I can see Addy's little toes underneath the door. I open the door and she has a mouth FULL OF DOG FOOD, with this look of horror splattered across her perfect little face. I ask her if she was having a snack and she replies, "Ummm hmmm!" She quickly asks me for a cup so we treck throught the water back to the kitchen for some milk. I absolutely cannot wait for Daddy to get home to tell him what this little angel was up to! I didn't know what to do...laugh or scold. Needless to say, I resorted to laughter. Funny thins is...this has been the highlight of my week.
These are our two babies...Foster (left) and Finley (right). They are definitely partners in crime and always up for a good time. Daytime is playtime and they are loving this day that God has blessed us with. In fact, I can see them through my window outside sunbathing. Definitely two little mischevious things...but we sure do love them. I think that Zac would rather see them most days, than me! hehe! But that's ok...I know his heart is big enough for all of us. Thought you might all like to meet the fam!
Zac is having a Bachelor Party for his best friend, Seth, this weekend and they've got a pretty fun time lined out. (Guy stuff...is what this wifey has been told!) Sounds good to me. Everyone needs a little time with the boys...or girls, whichever! They'll be on the back side of our place, which is perfectly visible, with binoculars. Lol! It should be fun to spy on them a few times. I, too, have a few friends coming out so that I will not be too terribly lonely out here. I have to say that I am pretty excited to see everyone.
At this point, I think that I am rambling, but to be honest with you, this does some good on the old mind. My emotions have been running rampid lately...can't quite seem to get a grip on them, but I think every female has those days. We'll chalk it up to stress and move along.
Sure am ready for that husband of mine ot get home, so that we can all go play outside in the fresh air. Hope everyone's weekends is a great one!
PS...I will be posting some pictures later on that I have taken over the last few days. If I do say so myself...I LOVE THEM! Can't wait to get this photography things really rolling!

First Blogging of the Decade
Well, well....look who it is. This is my first time blogging and I have to say, that I feel somewhat exhilirated, strangely enough. I am going to have to think long and hard to come up something to actually fill a page about; but all in all, I think that I am pretty excited. This is something that I have wanted to do for a while now.
Today is like most usual Tuesdays when I am off: Zac is feeding and I have been fiddling around the house, trying to wrap things up before I have to go back to work tomorrow. I am waiting for him to come home so that we can drive around this lovely county and take pictures with my new camera that he so loving graced me with at Christmas. I must say, he did a spectacular job and it's quite fun and interesting to use. I am seriously taking up photography as my new hobby and cannot wait. My photographer that does all of our pictures; including engagement and wedding pictures, have graciously given be some tips on how to become better at what I am doing.
I also have to comment on our blog name....notice the "Udder" in "Udderly" which is due to our infamous place of living at the present time. I thought it was pretty creative and am extremely happy with the name.
Well, I think that I can hear my husband's loud truck clanking up the driveway, so I must get going so that I waste no more daylight for my photo session...that and I can't wait to see if this actually posts or not!
Thanks for joining.
